மரணம் குறித்து முழுமையான விசாரணையை உறுதி செய்வதற்காக அமெரிக்க போலீஸுடன் தொடர்பில் இருந்து வருகிறோம். அர்பத்தின் அஸ்தியை இந்தியாவுக்குக் கொண்டு செல்ல, அவரது குடும்பத்தினருக்கு தேவையான அனைத்து உதவிகளையும் செய்வோம்” என்று பதிவிட்டுள்ளது.
கிளீவ்லேண்ட் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் தகவல் தொழில்நுட்பத்தில் முதுகலைப் பட்டம் பயின்று வந்தவர் அர்பத். மேல் படிப்புக்காக கடந்த மே 2023ல் தான் அமெரிக்காவுக்குச் சென்றுள்ளார்.
இதனிடையே, தான் கடந்த மார்ச் 7-ம் தேதி காணாமல் போனார் அர்பத். பின்னர் மார்ச் 19 அன்று, அர்பத்தின் குடும்பத்தை தொடர்பு கொண்ட மர்ம நபர்கள் சிலர், “அர்பத் கடத்தப்பட்டு இருப்பதாகவும், அவரை விடுவிக்க வேண்டும் என்றால், $1,200 வேண்டும் என்றும், கேட்டத் தொகையை கொடுக்காவிட்டால் அர்பத்தின் சிறுநீரகத்தை விற்றுவிடுவோம்” என்றும் அந்தக் கும்பல் மிரட்டியதாக அர்பத்தின் தந்தை தெரிவித்திருந்தார்.
ஒரு வாரத்துக்குள் அமெரிக்காவில் உயிரிழக்கும் இரண்டாவது இந்தியர் அர்பத். கடந்த வாரம், ஓஹியோவில் உமா சத்ய சாய் காடே என்ற இந்திய மாணவி உயிரிழந்த நிலையில் கண்டெடுக்கப்பட்டார்.
அதேநேரம், 2024ம் ஆண்டு தொடங்கியதில் இருந்து இதுவரை 11 இந்தியர்கள் இறந்த நிலையில் அமெரிக்காவில் கண்டெடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.
