கடந்த ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரியில் உக்ரைன் மீது ரஷ்யா போர் தொடுத்தது. உக்ரைனின் அடிப்படை உள்கட்டமைப்பை ரஷ்யா தரைமட்டமாக்கியது. இந்தத் தாக்குதலில் உக்ரைனில் ஆயிரக்கணக்கானோர் உயிரிழந்துள்ளனர். இந்தப் போரில் உக்ரைனில்1000 பள்ளிகள் அழிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக யுனிசெப் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
ஒன்றரை ஆண்டுகளாக ரஷ்யா தொடர்ந்து தாக்குதல் நடத்தி வருகிறது. உக்ரைனும் ரஷ்யா மீது பதில் தாக்குதல் நடத்துகிறது. எனினும், ரஷ்யாவை எதிர் கொள்ளும் வகையில் உக்ரைனிடம் ராணுவக் கட்டமைப்பு இல்லை. இந்நிலையில், அமெரிக்க மற்றும் ஐரோப்பிய நாடுகள் உக்ரைனுக்கு ஆயுதங்கள் வழங்கி உதவுகின்றன.
