பாகிஸ்தானின் புதிய பிரதமராக ஷெபாஷ் ஷெரீப் (72) நேற்று தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டார். இந்நிலை யில் அவர் 2-வது முறையாக பிரதமராகிறார்.பாகிஸ்தான் நாடாளுமன்றத்தில் நேற்று நடைபெற்ற வாக்கெடுப்பில் இம்ரான் கான் கட்சியைச் சேர்ந்த வேட்பாளர் உமர் அயூப் கான் 92 வாக்குகள் பெற்ற நிலையில், ஷெபாஷ் ஷெரீப் 201 வாக்குகள் பெற்று வெற்றிபெற்றார். இதை யடுத்து புதிய பிரதமராக அவர் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டார். இன்று அவர் பதவி ஏற்கிறார். கடந்த 2022 ஏப்ரல் முதல் 2023 ஆகஸ்ட் வரை அவர் பிரதமராக பொறுப்பு வகித்தார். அதன்பிறகு தேர்தலை முன்னிட்டு அவரது ஆட்சி கலைக்கப்பட்டு காபந்து அரசு பாகிஸ்தானை ஆட்சி செய்தது.
கடந்த பிப்ரவரி மாதம் 8-ம் தேதி பாகிஸ்தானில் பொதுத் தேர்தல் நடைபெற்றது. மொத்தம் 265 இடங்கள். இவற்றில் வெற்றிபெற்று ஆட்சி அமைக்க ஒரு கட்சிக்கு 133 இடங்கள் தேவை.
இம்ரான் கானின் பிடிஐ கட்சிக்கு தடைவிதிக்கப்பட்டிருந்த நிலையில், பொதுத் தேர்தலில் அக்கட்சியின் வேட்பாளர்கள் சுயட்சையாக போட்டியிட்டனர். அவர்கள் அதிக இடங்களில் வென்றிருந்தாலும், ஆட்சி அமைக்க தேவையான பலம்அவர்களிடம் இல்லை.
இந்நிலையில் நவாஸ் ஷெரீப் தலைமயிலான பிஎம்எல்- என் கட்சியும் முன்னாள் வெளியுறவுத் துறை அமைச்சர் பிலாவல் புட்டோ ஜர்தாரி தலைமையிலான பிபிபி கட்சியும் இணைந்து புதிய அரசை அமைக்கின்றன.
நவாஸ் ஷெரீப் பிரதமராக பொறுப்பேற்பார் என்று எதிர் பார்க்கப்பட்டது. ஆனால், பாகிஸ் தான் அரசியலில் நிச்சயமற்ற சூழல் நிலவிவருகிற நிலையில், அவர் தன் சகோதரர் ஷெபாஸ் ஷெரீபை பிரதமர் வேட்பாளராக முன்மொழிந்தார்.
இதையடுத்து இந்தக் கூட்டணியின் பிரதமர் வேட்பாளராக ஷெபாஸ் ஷெரீப் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டார். அவரை எதிர்த்து இம்ரான்கான் கட்சியைச் சேர்ந்த வேட்பாளர் உமர் அயூப் கான் வேட்பு மனு தாக்கல் செய்தார்.
